Emily George
Board Member
Emily George teaches at the University of Washington, where she specializes in early modern English drama and religion, theater history, religious history, and textual studies. Her research focuses on post-Reformation dramatic performances of conversion and repentance.
In addition to teaching English at the University of Washington, Emily has taught Renaissance literature at Seattle University and teaches incoming student-athletes during UW's summer Learn Experience Achieve Program. She is also a coordinator for the UW Classics, Medieval, and Early Modern Studies Group and a writer for DeConstruct, a Seattle-based collective dedicated to intersectional performance critique in the Pacific Northwest.
