Grace Funsten is Loeb Classical Library Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow and a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She received her PhD in Classics in 2022 from the University of Washington, where she focused on Roman poetry, Latin epigraphy, and classical reception.

She is currently working on her first book, which examines grave markers in verse from collective burial monuments in Rome called columbaria. In addition, she has published articles on Latin elegy and ancient Roman conceptions of gender and sexuality.

In her spare time, she enjoys science fiction in all its forms and is always on the hunt for far-future retellings of Greco-Roman myth.
